About Changing Tides Speech Pathology

We offer a family centred, multimodal approach to achieve best outcomes, and we value the importance of working together as a team with other health professionals involved in all aspects of care.

That’s why we also share our clinic space with allied health practitioners such as a paediatric psychologist, audiologist and occupational therapist.

Whether it be a family member, friend or yourself, our name refers to the moment we choose to take control and improve our quality of life, whether it be through enhanced communication skills or simply through enjoying a meal with our loved ones. It’s time for a positive change.

We currently have 2 clinic locations. One based in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the other located on the Central Coast. We also provide telehealth services as well as mobile services to homes, schools, preschools and aged care. Stop by our clinic sometime and say hi!

Jason Therapy Dog

Jason

Therapy Dog & Gentle Giant

Jason has a heart as big as his paws. Once a racing dog, Jason made the happy transition to pet life at the age of five, leaving behind his fast-paced past for a slower, more comfortable routine. Don’t let his imposing size fool you—Jason is all about comfort and calm. He can usually be found stretched out on a cushion or rug, content to watch the world go by. With his experience as a trained therapy dog, Jason has an abundance of calm to share. He completed his training with Greyhound Rescue’s Hounds Helping Humans program, where he learned to interact with a wide range of people, including those using wheelchairs and walkers. His calm presence and intuitive nature make him a favourite of just about anyone he visits and a valued companion to anyone in need of some quiet comfort.

At Changing Tides, Jason typically works alongside Rose, but his laid-back personality means he’s not always a fan of high energy or noise. When things get a bit too lively for his liking, he’ll just get up and wander off to hang with another therapist for a few moments’ peace and quiet.

Jason is a dog of simple pleasures. He delights in a gentle ear scratch or a long, slow belly rub. If you find his sweet spot, he’ll let you know with a soft groan of contentment or even a gentle paw to say, “More, please!” He’s not shy about communicating his needs, whether it’s a nudge toward something he wants, a roll onto his back for belly rubs, or a soft grumble when he’s had enough. Jason may not speak in words, but he speaks loudly through his body language, his gentle voice, and quiet, calm demeanour.
